“There is immeasurable strength in numbers”
Zambian Network for Sickle Cell Disease Amplified Voices Advocacy (ZNSAVA) is a Not-for-Profit Organisation ,which obtained its registration on the 14th December 2021 here in Zambia.
This initiative was birthed out of “utter passion” by a group of individuals who have all been impacted by the effects of Sickle Cell Disease, either directly or indirectly.
The organization has a cross section of highly experienced individuals; from People living with Sickle Cell Disease (WARRIORS), Care Givers, Clinicians ,Medical Professionals and Trait Carriers. ZNSAVA is committed to supporting people living with Sickle Cell Disease(SCD) ,their families and their communities at large.
The organizational strategy is to work in all 10 provinces of Zambia ,with a deliberate focus on the regions outside of Lusaka Province and Lusaka the capital of Zambia. This is to bridge the gap in the availability of opportunities , resources and information required in the rest of the country ,especially in Peri-Urban and Rural areas.
